DENVER — Diversified Radiology of Colorado, P.C. launched its new Web site www.divrad.com in April to promote its vast capabilities to medical communities worldwide who seek information on radiological imaging performed and interpreted by Diversified Radiology.
The Web site was designed and built by Unleaded Software of the Unleaded Group headquartered in Denver. Features included by www.unleadedsoftware.com make this premier radiographic group’s expansive capabilities better understood by both health care facilities and patients.
This new Web site for Diversified Radiology is designed to educate a variety of audiences, including health care facility administrators who are seeking information on Diversified teleradiology program, expanding the services of their existing radiology department, and the benefits of specialized interpretations for their imaging procedures, highly specialized radiologists who may have interest in partnering or looking into employment opportunities with Diversified Radiology, and the patient population that seeks to better understand the imaging procedure or treatment they are undergoing and information about the radiologist who will be interpreting their exam.
Improvements to www.divrad.com include highly detailed descriptions of specific examinations (with additional information on video provided by Diversified’s radiologists). For example, the Women’s Radiology Services section of the Web site highlights women’s radiology services including the symptoms that warrant a medical checkup.
“Patients and those working in health care in Colorado have a level of technical sophistication that necessitates a Web presence tailored to their specific needs. Diversified’s new Web site is an interactive and intuitive resource that results in efficient information gather and education,” says Sean Bryant, M.D., a neuroradiologist at Diversified Radiology.
Since 1927, Diversified Radiology, located at Ninth Ave. and Bannock St. in the Golden Triangle of Denver, has read radiology studies for health care institutions and physicians. In its earliest years, these radiologists, led by founder Dr. Kenneth Allen, interpreted only local patients’ X-ray films. With the wide availability and adoption of the internet, access to Diversified’s expertise expanded to a national scale.
Now, Diversified Radiology’s expert team of specialty radiologists interprets radiography images for health care institutions and physicians across the country. With more than 20 hospital and medical clinic’s as affiliates (a number that continues to expand), Diversified Radiology is bringing complex services such as advanced neuro-imaging to communities that previously that had limited access to this level of medical expertise.
St. Vincent General Hospital District in Leadville is one example. Serving Lake and Chafee counties’ 2800 residents, St. Vincent aligned with Diversified Radiology in December 2008, making Diversified Radiology’s state-of-the-art diagnostic and interventional radiology services accessible for residents of this rural Rocky Mountain community—too small to provide these services in the past.
Diversified Radiology’s specialty radiologists read and interpret advanced imaging usually only provided in a university setting. These studies are relayed to Diversified Radiology’s subspecialty cores located in Denver via the Internet and report back with sometimes life-saving diagnostic radiographic readings in a matter of minutes. Surgeons, emergency room staff and referring physicians in remote locations around the nation have the data at their fingertips to help triage patients and deliver treatments that are timely and accurate.
Denver Neurological ImagingDiversified Radiology employs dozens of highly respected specialty radiologists—specialists in that they have years of additional in-depth training in very specific areas of radiology, similar to a university practice, but with a higher emphasis on customer service and punctual reporting. The advantage of Diversified Radiology’s services is this specialty approach—focusing the expertise of specialist radiologists in every field of radiology conceivable including Breast Imaging Radiologists; Body Imaging Radiologists using computed tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Ultrasound; Interventional Radiologists performing minimally invasive procedures using image guidance, typically Peripheral and Cerebral Angiography, Endovascular Embolization, Angioplasty and Stent placement, Percutaneous Hepatobiliary and Nephroureteral therapies, filters, Vertebroplasty/Kyphoplasty, spinal injection treatments, Varicose Vein treatment, and Oncologic Tumor Ablations; Musculoskeletal Radiologists focusing on bone, spine, and joint disorders, and sports injuries; Neuro Radiologists focusing on disorders of the brain and spine and using non-invasive techniques to evaluate and diagnose complex issues such as stroke; Nuclear Medicine and PET (Positron Emission Tomography) Radiologists; and Pediatric Radiologists who solely evaluate conditions specific to the younger population.
Because Diversified directs images to specific and appropriate subspecialist radiologists 100% of the time, the radiologists are able to better diagnose a variety of medical conditions quicker than X-rays read by generalist radiologists. This heightened level of radiographic readings helps physicians diagnose and treat patient disease and injuries more accurately and promptly, enhancing the patient’s outcome and experience.
